CCA/AD

The
California Canine Academy/ Assistance Dogs (CCA/AD) Program was initiated
as an extension of CCA’s Programs. It was implemented in 2002 with the
goal of training Golden Retrievers and Yellow Labrador Retrievers as
Service Dogs, Hearing Dogs, Social/Therapy Dogs, Read Education Assistance
Dogs (R.E.A.D.) Program and in the High School Assistance Dogs (HS-A Dog)
Program for teenagers at risk.
In
2006, the CCA/AD has expanded to include a complete puppy breeding and
training program. Under the direction of Akari Shinohara, a Japanese
Exchange Student, we have set up several new
programs such as the Puppy Petting Program for kids, Puppy Training
Program, Puppy Fostering and Happy Puppy Handling Homes.
