Our Terrific Teens in our Program

Our teens teach little puppies and year-old dogs how to be great service dogs.  In the process of teaching these special dogs, the kids learn responsibility, parenting skills, anger management and empathy for the disabled. The teens learn to give and receive love.

This is a 26 week after-school program that has great therapeutic value for the kids. The teens have a great time with the many challenges that this opportunity presents them in teaching the service dogs and later teaching the partnered disabled how to work with these dogs to make their lives more independent.  The community benefits by the teens having higher self esteem and better emotional control.
